The picturesque building was constructed in 1903 by one of Melbourne’s most accomplished architects of the time. The unusual two storey form, built at low scale, gives the building a dolls house image contributing to its eye catching quality.

Undertaker has four contemporary event spaces to dine, drink and entertain in.

UPSTAIRS DINING ROOM
Enjoy Ian Alexander’s Mediterranean inspired menu in Undertakers new upstairs dining room.  With a smart combination of classic, iconic and modern interior design this space is a beautiful setting to enjoy an intimate dinner for two or larger get togethers with friends and colleagues.  During the warmer months large bi-fold glass doors open up to the private balcony & magnolia trees making it a must summer destination.

GROUND LEVEL
Undertaker SOCIAL is the laid back boutique beer & wine bar.  Located on the ground level the stunning signature lighting created by one of Australia’s most talented & well known installation artists Joost , sets off the moody tones of this favourite local.  Serving some of Australia & the world’s best beers & the full dining room wine list on offer, a bistro style menu & a delicious range of bar & pizza items this is a perfect destination for the less formal time.  

BASEMENT
The hidden jewel of the establishment, The Ambrosia Room is located in the basement of this grand old building.  Private booths, opulent chandeliers and a confident mixture of colours, this is one of the most unique interior spaces in Melbourne.  Sink into one of the lounges and sip on cocktails & champagne late into the evening.
