Set amidst native bushland, Sergeants Mess is bound by Sydney Harbour National Park and Clifton Gardens Reserve. The expansive deck stretching the length of the venue commands spectacular view of Sydney Harbour’s shipping channels. The venue is ideal for corporate conference, gala events, weddings, small business meetings or private celebrations. Architect Thomas Spangenberg and interior designer Annette Park have created a sophisticated setting that pays subtle homage to the simple glamour of the 1960’s, albeit maintaining a decidedly contemporary feel paired with ocean views.
Whether it’s a gala banquet for 250, theatre style breakfast presentation for 150 or cabaret seating for 170, the main dining room combines 350m² of unobstructed floor space plus an expansive harbour deck with magnificent views. For business or pleasure, the lower level of the venue offers prestigious private dining in the Sergeant Majors’ Room. This versatile room features large wing back chairs, plush furnishings and the latest in audio visual technology. It seats up to 20 guests for a boardroom meeting, 40 guests for a fine dining banquet, or 80 guests for theatre style presentation.
Operated by Grand Pacific Group of The Tea Room QVB, Gunners' Barracks and Dunbar House, the venue offers an elegant backdrop for weddings of all styles. With capacity for 250 guests seated and 350 cocktail, Sergeants' Mess is a truly exclusive offering. While the bridal party refresh in the elegantly appointed bridal suite, guests will be treated to canapés and cocktail on the expansive foreshore deck at the bar. Packages can be tailored to meet personal requirements with the Group Executive Chef and Sommelier available to customise food and wine menus.
