Podfood is located in Canberra, on the Pialligo Plant Farm estate, adjacent to Canberra Airport. It is a 10 minute drive from the CBD, and close to the boutique shopping precincts of Kingston and Manuka.
Podfood offers a serene dining location in a restored character-filled 1930’s cottage, with its hard-wood floors and modern refurbishments making it an ideal setting for a relaxed lunchtime retreat. The simple décor takes advantage of the beauty of the elegant garden surrounds with its impressive windows filtering in the natural light, and an expansive outdoor deck speckled with bright orange chairs overlooking the grounds.
The grounds of Podfood are divided into three well lit areas: the cottage, which seats a maximum of 50 guests or 60 for a cocktail function, the deck which has a seated capacity of 25 and a standing capacity of 40, the garden terrace, which seats 20 and 40 standing guests, and the Gallery which seats 30 or holds 50 for a cocktail style function. These north facing areas are sunny in winter and shaded in the summer, making this picturesque and modern venue ideal for intimate functions.

Dine on the likes of a pork and veal terrine with citrus marmalade and picked eshallots on sourdough toast for entrée. For main opt for a more exotic dish of rare roasted kangaroo fillet with parsnip puree and chive spatzle. Be sure to save room for a sneaky treat of butterscotch date and walnut pudding with double cream to conclude your meal. All dishes can be paired with a fine selection of local and international wines. Fixed lunch and dinner menus, dinner degustation menus and a selection of function packages are also on offer. Function hosts can select from a series of set, alternate or banquet menus to suit your desired budget and requirements.
