FUNCTION DETAILS
InterContinental Sydney’s 13 character filled meeting rooms sit within the beautifully restored Treasury Building of 1851. Behind the doors of this heritage façade lie high ceilings and natural light. Here delegates can feel inspired by the history of the surroundings whilst also gaining a valuable insight into Sydney’s rich and colourful past.

The contemporary Harbour Room on level 31 with it’s modern design is a contrast to the meeting rooms in the Treasury Building. It offers panoramic views of the Opera House and Sydney harbour and is ideal for dinners or cocktail parties.

WEDDINGS
In 1851 during the ‘decade of gold’ the NSW Treasury, the repository for the state’s gold, opened for business. It was adorned with a gold leaf foyer, sandstone portico and large period windows overlooking tree lined Macquarie Street. Today it is the hotel’s Treasury Room, and is distinguished as one of the city’s leading wedding and celebration venues. The heritage archways in the Cortile are another unique historical feature of InterContinental Sydney and this area makes a beautiful location for pre-dinner drinks or photography. The contemporary Harbour Room with stunning views of the harbour is a favourite for weddings. 

Every wedding at InterContinental Sydney is treated with a rare respect. To ensure the most memorable experience, their Wedding Coordinator meticulously plans every detail together with the couple. These details include everything from wedding etiquette, seating arrangements, vegetarian or ethnic menus to the most beautiful locations throughout the hotel and the Royal Botanic Gardens for photography. They can also recommend trusted vendors including photographers, florists, cake specialists and entertainers.

CAFE OPERA
The grand hotel dining room of yesteryear is back with an updated flourish in Café Opera. A lavish breakfast buffet is presented every morning including freshly squeezed juices, eggs made to order and a selection fresh breads, croissants and pastries. The lunch buffet features local produce, a selection of fresh seafood, seasonal dishes and an irresistible selection of desserts. In the evenings, choose from a wide variety of dishes on the buffet and enjoy authentic tastes from different corners of the world. At the live cooking station the chef prepared exciting dishes before your eyes. On the weekend, spoil yourself with one of Sydney`s best known seafood buffets complete with hot selections and a variety of salads, sushi and desserts. An a la carte menu is also available for dinner.

THE CORTILE
As the heart and focal point of Intercontinental Sydney, Cortile is a rich luxurious lounge featuring an intimate blend of rich colours and textures with oversized lamps suspended from the soaring glass. At night the three tiers of sandstone arcades are illuminated bringing together the timeless and contemporary elements of the hotel.
