De Bortoli Wines was established in 1928, four years after founder Vittorio De Bortoli and his wife Giuseppina migrated to Australia from Northern Italy. De Bortoli settled within the Riverina area in country NSW and established one of Australia's largest family owned wine companies. For more than 75 years, the family tradition of sharing good wine, good food and good times with family and friends remains unchanged. Third generation Leanne De Bortoli and her husband Steve Webber (also the head wine maker), manage the Yarra Valley estate. At De Bortoli, the aim is not only to create wines with a sense of place that reflect the region, but also wine with a sustainable approach.


FUNCTION DETAILS
De Bortoli Winery is the perfect place to escape for an event, away from the city stress. Conference rooms are filled with light and overlook the surrounding vineyards. A private dining room for 10 – 20 guests may be hired throughout the week.


FOOD & BEVERAGE
Restaurant Locale reflects the De Bortoli family's Italian heritage, and the restaurant's philosophy of sourcing the best local, seasonal and organic produce, producing dishes in a sustainable, environmentally aware manner. The neutral tones, carpeted and tiled areas and airy light-filled spaces in the dining room allow customers to fully focus on the vineyard views and the ingredient-driven Italian dishes on the menu. Set on top of a hill overlooking the vineyards, The Cellar Door wine and cheese room offers a range of tasting options from general tastings of Yarra Valley wines, to gourmet tastings including premium labels and carefully selected cheeses.


WEDDINGS
The beautiful landscaped gardens of De Bortoli winery provide the perfect backdrop for a wedding. After the ceremony, guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapés in the lush gardens before heading to Locale, where a contemporary and comfortable setting for up to 100 guests awaits. Ample parking is available on site.
