FUNCTIONS
The restaurant is set in the grounds of the Ninth Island Vineyard amidst white roses, vines and 100 year old oak trees. Daniel Alps is available for evening functions for groups of up to 70 for a wedding reception or corporate dinner. Offering indoor and outdoor dining, the restaurant makes the most of its s picture-perfect view across the valley, river and distant mountains.

FOOD
Strathlynn is home to Daniel Alps, one of Tasmania's top chefs who prides himself on using the very best produce that Tasmania has to offer. Pipers Brook Vineyard and Ninth Island wines are served in the restaurant by the glass with cellar door sales where you can taste and purchase the wine of your choosing. Pipers Brook and Ninth Island wines are also available here for tasting. The regional menu features the best produce from local and organic suppliers. The menu’s seasonality reflects the ever-evolving surround of the Ninth Island Vineyard, and Daniel focuses on bringing food and wine together to enhance the highlights of the Tamar Valley and Pipers Brook Vineyard’s wines.

COOKING CLASSES
Daniel Alps also hosts hands-on cooking schools by appointment only a popular and good idea for a corporate getaway, followed by dinner matched with the vineyard’s wines.

WEDDINGS
Hire fee includes: meetings & planning with Kirsty; set up of decorations provided by client (e.g. chair covers, place cards, flowers, bomboniere, etc); linen including skirting of the bridal table and cake table; professional & friendly staff for the evening. Daniel Alps rely on the weather being kind, so during rainy seasons it is worth considering hiring a marquee if you wish to use an outdoor area.
