Bouzy Rouge Hotel – functions and private entertaining with style. 470 Bridge Road Richmond (just along from Burnley Street).

DETAILS
Bouzy Rouge has a confident style,  unique interiors and a strong food focus  that really show what these multi award winning hotel professionals  - owners Jose and Sandra D’Oliviera -  are all about.  Sophistication is apparent in everything they touch, they have really opened people's eyes to the possibilities of entertaining friends and business partners in beautiful surrounds.

They cleverly transformed their first five old treasures into elegant multi award winning and ultimately very comfortable hotels, that people naturally gravitate towards.  And now their ‘Hotel Of The Year’ Bouzy Rouge sits proudly as one of Melbourne’s finest and most unique, intimate function venues. Textures abound - there’s zebra fabric by Ralph Lauren, gilded crowns, a massive  reconstructed Venetian mirror, deer’s antlers, exotic carved doors,  giant clam shells holding peanuts on the bar,  Knowl sofas from the middle ages and traditional shoes from Rajistan. The décor is based on the Marais region of France, known for it’s flavours of Morocco, Venice, Southern Asia and the Middle East.
 
PRIVATE DINING
There are two spaces that are perfect for private entertaining – The upstairs Lounge and Dining Room and the fully covered Courtyard downstairs to the rear – viewed through full length French doors.

Upstairs is a cleverly set, private dining room with a smart service bar and a beautifully styled sitting room. This area is perfect for intimate private gatherings for up to 40 seated or up to 120 standing. This area does not attract a room hire fee – and a dedicated staff member serves your guests across the evening. Outdoors the beautiful private courtyard space is perfect for seated groups of 40, or for 60 standing.

CUISINE
Menus and drinks/ wine lists are tailored to suit individual events. Jose and Sandra have a passion for the Mediterranean - at the Bouzy Rouge they have worked their own unique magic into a glamorous style filled property where people love to gather. It has all the fashion sense of Europe, developing and evolving over time through Sandra’s clever eye and skilful hand and Jose’s enduring presence and charm.

Chefs Domenic Marzano and James Smyth run the kitchen with Dom’s famous and award winning home smoked small-goods featuring across the Mediterranean influenced menu. The finger food items are beautifully mastered tiny mouthfuls and the Euro style tapas are perfect starters for seated events. The star of the menu is the Share Fare platters – great for a less formal meal, where central plates add colour to the tables.

Jose’s stunning wines can be matched to any function menu – they really sum up what this Richmond eatery is all about - sourcing from the best,  no matter where that search takes them and serving it with grace and style.
