Bar One opens early to provide lifesaving shots of espresso before work. Towards the middle of the day you can opt for a quick plate of homemade pasta or immaculately cooked risotto. Those with the time should schedule a long lunch complete with a glass of wine selected from Bar One’s lengthy but organised menu. By late afternoon the bar becomes an urbane meeting spot serving unfussy cocktails and gourmet antipasti. The interior of the bar is flooded with sunlight during daylight hours, revealing a smooth ten metre long bar, ever changing blackboard menus and informal booths. At night the glow from the hanging pendant lights above the bar set an atmosphere of understated class. An event at Bar One is perfect for those who crave a local European wining and dining experience.


FUNCTION DETAILS
Bar One is divided into four main function areas, each with a unique configuration of sit down/stand up options. The larger areas can comfortably hold between 75 and 120 people standing. These spaces can be reserved separately or in combination. The venue is well suited for cocktail parties, with superb canapé menus and a collection of wine, beer and spirits that will keep all guests smiling. Towards the back of the restaurant, a private dining room seats groups up to twelve (or 25 standing). This space is ideal for intimate celebrations or a board room lunch. The whole venue can be rented out for cocktail functions of up to 300 people.


FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Chef Stephen Scaffidi continuously satiates the people of Perth with European style fare that draws the city closer to Italy with every mouthful. The function menu offers a creative array of canapés including grilled chorizo sausage with fresh pear and mint relish. Other delectable choices include oysters with cucumber and chardonnay dressing, and grilled brioche leg ham, cheese and tomato sandwiches. Pizza platters (40 pieces) are also available if you are tempted by the sound of mushroom and fontina cheese on a home-made base. The wine list covers Australian and European varietals. You won’t find any gimmicks on the refined cocktail list, just flavoursome, strategically tweaked favourites.
